Second, it uses up valuable chlorine that should be used to kill algae, bacteria, viruses, and other potentially harmful contamination that ends up in the pool water. This product was designed to be used as a weekly pool treatment. Adding One pound per 10,000 gallons will improve the chlorine efficiency, water clarity and overall pool water quality and enjoyability. Bathers can return to the pool 15 minutes after treatment.
